We recently gathered to reflect on the year 2025 with our year end celebrations on the 5th December themed “Denim with a Touch of Golden Thread”. Denim, an integral part of everyday life, has a rich history and versatility that makes it a highly sought after fabric. At Masingita Group of Companies, our “Golden Thread”embodies an ethos of success, excellence, and a legacy built on transforming rural and township retail developments.
Our celebration was a perfect match of denim and gold, reflecting on the steps taken to continue building on the company’s vision. Colleagues, friends, and guests enjoyed a relaxed and social environment, with good banter, laughter, and karaoke performances. We
showcased our teams’ singing abilities, and even had a special performance by Izinkongani Indigenous Voices group lead singer Jerry, who is part of our site facilities personnel.
The afternoon included recognition of our long service personnel and prestigious awards, marked by a keynote address by Founder and Chairman, Dr. Mike Nkuna. He captured the company’s history, its future in leading retail transformation, and property development, and extended gratitude to the teams for their contributions.
Word of the day
Dr. Nkuna invited everyone to continue contributing to the company’s success, acknowledging long-service recipients and encouraging innovation and dedication to building the company’s vision. A message of goodwill, compassion and best wishes was extended to the teams for the festive period and safe returns in 2026.
